While splashing in the water with her mom and brother, a five-year-old was having so much fun that she enthusiastically proclaims, “This is the best day ever!” She often proclaims this truth as she experiences life to the fullest.
Children embody the very nature of God.
When a person becomes a believer in Christ, God takes him from dead in sin to alive in Christ. This transformation causes his heart to rejoice over all that God is doing, and he walks, talks, and thinks differently now because of the presence of God within him.
When a person allows God to infiltrate every part of their life, Jesus gives clear eyesight and hearing towards the things that are eternal. You gain wisdom and discernment from the Holy Spirit as He leads you in truth through His Word. As you become more and more comfortable with walking by the Holy Spirit, you take on a childlike faith and proclaim, “This is the best day ever!”

The Apostle Paul understood. Even in his darkest hour, he had the ability to stay focused on God and pen such words as the book of Philippians. How did he have the ability to see God firsthand and encourage others while suffering like he did? I am sure when Jesus transformed his life on the road to Damascus, see Acts 9, he never realized the cost in obeying Christ. Yet, Paul followed, for there was something greater going on in his life that is beyond what he saw.
What is God doing in your life?
Even in hard times, frustrating times, even in the most uncertain moments, do you see God? There is never a moment when He is not battling for your soul. There is never a time where He is not preparing the way for you. As you look ahead, don’t let what you see in front of you decide your actions. Let God show you as He leads you. You will always be prepared to meet the demands of your day.
Understanding this wonderful reality, you can proclaim, “This is the best day ever!”
I have mentored young mothers and taught women in Bible study, and often I would tell them, “If all you get done today is spend time with Jesus and learn from Him in His Word, you will have the most successful, productive day.” Isn’t it so easy to run around chasing this thing or that only to sink into your chair exhausted mentally and physically?
Have you experienced this: When you let God dictate what you do throughout your day, when you allow yourself to align with God’s ways and His pace, He will cause your day to be orderly and peaceful. You actually get more done. It is like He gives you added hours, and you aren’t stressed and exhausted! You aren’t running around with your head cut off! This my friend, is how Paul lived his life.
My friend, God wants to do life with you moment-by-moment. He wants to teach you His rhythms. He truly has a way to living life where your needs are met on a cellular level, and you have the energy to love and serve those around with a joyful heart. Everyone wins when you choose to surrender your life to Jesus Christ.
You experience the best day ever with your Lord and Savior. God makes it possible for every person. It is impossible to manifest it on your own. Earthly life is infested with sin and darkness. It is not eternal, where as the Living God is eternal. Follow His Son and see what He will do for you.
