You hear how important it is to spend time with God daily. When you get in the habit of meeting with God, something transformational happens. Your heart, soul, and mind become united in love with the Living God.
What you discover when you sit at His feet is something that cannot be found in this world. No matter how close you are with other people, there is no other bond than the one God offers you when you become His child. He gives you full access to Himself.
After you receive your salvation, you can enter into His presence, see Hebrews 4:16, it is imperative that you make time for Him each day. He walks with you in present time, and this time is given in 24-hour increments. He does prepare you for tomorrow, but today is where He meets your needs. Today, is where He counsels you about the life that He wants you to live.
I have been spending time with God for over 35 years now. While I became a believer when I was 13, it wasn’t until I got married at 23 where God began to speak to my heart, soul, and mind. He got my attention that it’s time to follow in obedience what God has for me and not what I desired and wanted.
While the road to mature faith is an arduous one, it is the path to a personal peace. It’s a peace that goes beyond all human understanding. God has developed my faith to the point where I truly understand the apostle Peter’s heart when he says, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and we know You are the Holy One of God”; see John 6:68-69.
Has God taken you down a path where you feel Peter’s words?
Every person who truly understands and feels these words has experienced deep humility along with regret and shame over their own sins. This broken posture leads you to Jesus Christ. There, you are met with the most wonderful love. A love that transforms. A love that eradicates your guilty flesh. A love that must be faced daily, moment-by-moment in deep repentance.
Jesus helps you get there. He leads you to the safest place known to man, God’s presence. And in His presence, He stands you up, lifting your chin so He can look at you, and speaks the most kindest, life-giving words that transform you from a broken, unkempt human to a righteous and redeemed child of the King!
Free counseling is at your fingertips when you place Jesus Christ first in your life. No matter what you face, God will talk you through it. God’s presence gives you the assurance that you will always be in the right place at the right time. What may start out as a helpless situation, it never remains that way with God. He is constantly moving you and I forward to His day of redemption when Jesus returns to put an end to sin and death.

Go to God. Seek Him in His Word. Believe and trust with your whole being and allow God to counsel you. Your life will never be the same. Then, when you get aligned with God, He will then use you to help others. You cannot lead others where you are not yourself.
Every single one of us needs to be counseled by God everyday. Our flesh loves itself too much, and God cannot work in lives that hold on to things this side of heaven. You must let go, learn how God steps in, and develop a heart like Peter and the other disciples and say, “Lord, to whom would we go?” They allowed themselves to be changed by Christ’s counsel. How about you?
