I don’t know one person who is not experiencing changes in their life, big changes I might add. While some of the changes are beautiful, others are not. They are challenging and they cause us to stop and ponder what is going on. What is God doing?

May I be of some encouragement? This pausing to wonder is a very good thing!
No matter where you are in your faith journey, there is an eternal work being played out within you and in every believer. This work is one where God is removing the impurities that have a hold on you due to your sins. With Christ living in your heart, God sees beauty instead of sin; read 1 John 1:9 and Jeremiah 33:8. Unfortunately, this sinful world lives apart from God, and rebellious Satan works tirelessly at keeping you from walking by faith with God. He is rather successful at duping God’s creation into believing anything but God. You see this throughout the 66 books of the Bible in how many well-meaning people simply ignore God.
What would God like from you as you ponder? “To surrender your heart to (God’s) process. It is a gift of worship to Him.” (by Mariel Villarial)
Whatever changes are occurring, let God lead you in the new territory you find yourself in. God promises to be with you. Let all your circumstances, pleasant or not, be given to God with open hands. God wants you to prepare yourself for what He is about to do for you. God is in the business of filling your hands with meaningful, godly work. He will fill your heart with Himself, and continue to give you new life.
His pace for the changes you are experiencing are day-to-day, moment-by-moment. You must learn to abide as you wait upon the Lord. “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 ESV) God is doing an amazing work within you. Do not let your feelings dissuade you from living focused on Christ. Do not let how the world operates deceive you from the truth. Step back and keep God in view at all times. Remain in God’s Word to keep your priorities in line with God.
“God is using your life as a case study of grace to show what He can do in the life of a person.” (@gospel experience; IG)
You have purpose, and it gets lived out each day. What are you revealing to those around you, the world’s ways or the Lord’s ways?
As you ponder on things that seem confusing or cloudy, know that nothing is unknown to God. God is always ahead of you, preparing your path. He will be found to be 100% faithful in taking care of you. Simply trust and obey.
(I am taking a break for a couple of weeks. Heading south to be with my kids and grandsons.)
