I have been experiencing watching God’s faithful provision in my children this week. My son became a father to twin boys. Four weeks early, they are thriving. My daughter began a job six months ago where she has been able to spread her wings and flourish. She is doing so well that she received a pay increase. For these, and among many other things, I am thankful.
Today, enjoy an excerpt from my book, “God Hears My Heart,” on God’s faithful pursuit where He gives you and I what we need daily. Whether good times or bad, God never leaves us. His provision is constant, and He constantly prods you and I forward with Him by faith where we can believe and trust Christ whole-heartedly.

“Our world offers a plethora of options when it comes to where to seek advice, and many of them are helpful, in the moment. Assistance is all around you. But God does not want to be on your list of options, He wants to be your first option. He knows you better than you know yourself. After you seek His ways and advice, He may very well lead you to an earthly option like a doctor or a friend to talk to.
“The key is that He is leading you.
“We have a difficult time keeping this priority straight. We tend to love people or things more than God. This is when we get ourselves into trouble. 1 John 2:15-17 speaks clearly of this, ‘Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see and pride in our achievements and possessions. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.’
“God did not simply create you to leave you to your own resources. He always provides provision. We like to reduce His provisions and call them coincidences or luck. But coincidences and luck are random, and God is not random. He is purposeful with everything He does. Though you may lose your focus, He never loses His. He is El Roi, the God of seeing. Hebrews 4:13 says, ‘Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes and He is the one to whom we are accountable.’
“God is unconditionally pursuing you.
“Before the serpent tricked Adam and Eve, life was without flaws. After disobedience, Adam and Eve and their lineage, that’s you and me, were separated from God for eternity because of sin. Romans 6:23 says, ‘For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.’ God being separated from His people grieved Him but because He is love, He remained committed and designed a heart-wrenching way to redeem man back to Himself. He is on the unconditional pursuit of His children.”
This excerpt was taken from chapter 5, pages 90-91.
This heart-wrenching way is what we are celebrating in a few weeks. God’s faithful provision was planned in advance. Jesus was already chosen as the Savior to the world when Adam and Eve fell for the serpent’s lies. Despite the separation that had to take place between the Father and His children whom He created, He never stopped loving, caring, or making a way for man to return to God.

In Christ, God gives you His abundant provision. He gives you Himself. There is not greater example of love than the love of God. As God challenges me to follow His Son more and more each day, I am challenging you to do the same. Together, we will be united in love.
