What if The World Was Kind?

Imagine with me, a world where everyone was kind. While kindness appears to elude every generation, it doesn’t have to be so elusive. You do see snippets of kindness, but what would the world look like if people were considerate of others, had empathy, on a continuous basis? What if the world chose to see beyond themselves and live to serve others before they met their own needs, on a continuous basis?

When you see someone struggling mentally or physically, you help them to make wise choices. You encourage them to be their best. You build them up. While everyone learns, grows and matures in different ways, you have patience with them. You stay with them and love them at their pace.

A world filled with kindness would be a world that lives harmonious with one another.

A world filled with kindness would be able to accept one another, even in their differences.

Is this type of world possible? It is hard to imagine when you hear of all that is going on in the world. I have good news, a world like this does exist. It has since the beginning of time. Right now it is found in the heavenly realms.

What makes what I am about to tell you good news is that God allowed HIs riches in heaven to trickle down to us messed up humans. We are capable of kindness because of what God did for us many years ago.

(the above content was paraphrased from Romans 15:1-13 – Paul was building up faith in believers)

This Sunday marks the beginning of God’s rich kindness given to sinful man. It is Palm Sunday. For the next week, we will be in Holy Week which leads us to the greatest event to ever happen on earth!

“But when God our Savior revealed His kindness and love, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of His grace, He declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” (Titus 3:4-7)

When you follow Jesus, you have kindness, and a slew of other wonderful attributes, given to you on a continuous basis. It is nonstop from heaven. How can this be? It is rather easy if you are willing to believe and receive all that God has done for you. The receiving part can get a bit tricky with your sinful nature. Your flesh won’t want to do this, but you must confess your sins and ask for forgiveness from Jesus. When you do, He fills you with Himself which means the fruits of the Spirit, see Galatians 5:22-25, are within you. You are now capable of living like Paul was teaching in Romans 15.

In Christ, you have the capability of being kind to others for you are following His example.

Let’s encourage everyone we can to choose Christ and to live out His kindness. This world will be a more peaceful place.
