Every moment of every day, God is in hot pursuit for you. Why is He so fervent in getting your attention? It is because you need to come to believe in the One who can set you free from your sins. You see, there was a day in the distant past where innocence was stolen, where the love between God and His Creation was corrupted. It affected everyone and everything. It continues, even today, until God makes things right again.
Sin entered God’s creation. It ruined everything.
It ruined everything, but not God’s love. His love has remained faithful and true. So much so that God sent Jesus to become your freedom fighter. He became my freedom fighter. Every person that chooses to bow their knee to His Lordship and repent of their sins and follow Him in all areas of their life, will receive His Spirit as they walk the remainder of their days in this sinful world shining His glory for all to see. They will inherit eternal life one day as well.
So, God is on a mission to save you from sin’s corruption. He will do anything and everything to convince you of His presence, and the love that He has for you. God wants you to be in heaven with Him forever.
Unfortunately, we like to run from His pursuit of us. We are like wildlife in the forest. You see a deer in the thicket or a turkey strutting down the path. You try to get close, but they don’t let you get close. They take off. They are unsure of you. We do the same with Jesus. It would take time and effort to get them to trust you enough to get close.
It takes times and effort on your part to trust Jesus. You have to get to know Him first. And He is happy to reveal Himself so you will know Him. There is nothing more that would gladden God’s heart than for you to learn of His Son. The more you know, the more He reveals Himself, and you begin to trust Jesus.
Time and effort in God’s Word and talking to God in prayer never goes unnoticed. He will reveal Himself to you so that you will know for certain that God is who He says He is. He is the real deal, and your life will be transformed.
Whether you are brewing your morning coffee, putting on your make-up, jogging around the block, sitting in a meeting at work or listening to a lecture in class, mowing the lawn, cooking dinner, and the list goes on, God is pursuing your heart. He is everywhere, and He wants you to take notice. When you do, Jesus is able to work in you, and help you. Your life takes on purpose where there is meaning in all that you do. Life becomes worthwhile.
John 5:24 – “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”
The next time Jesus is in hot pursuit for you, which is right now, won’t you stop and see? He desires to be with you.
