Tuesday, November 5, 2024, was a monumental day for the United States. What took place had nothing to do with the democrats or the republicans. God showed up in a big way. I am hoping and praying that my fellow Americans truly see what took place.
It’s time. It’s time to see the big picture.
The big picture is God. This world and every living creature in it has been created by His Hand. He has a plan for His creation and IT IS BEING CARRIED OUT AS I AM WRITING THIS. If the event in Genesis 3 had never taken place (the serpent deceiving Adam and Eve), we all would be living in the most wonderful world where harmony, love, and peace would exist. But we know from the Bible, that the world lives under the curse of sin, thus life is toilsome, hard, and unforgiving where lies and injustice prevail.
What keeps the world going despite the darkness of evil that has penetrated it is God.
Our world is morally bankrupt. The United States is morally bankrupt. Every nation with its people have been since God had to separate man from His presence in Genesis 3. Study the Bible and see how sin has disrupted God’s peaceful plan for living. Rather than leaving us to our demise, God gives a way of redemption. He makes a way for all people to come back to Him where restoration can take place. God’s way is Jesus Christ.
“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God AND trust also in Me. I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.” (The words of Jesus in John 14:1,6)
The result of this election reveals how we all should respond, “Hi God. It’s nice to see You.” There will be disgruntled people who will struggle with this, but what happened Tuesday night revealed the hearts of most Americans. Americans are tired of the lies from leadership who are disinterested in the livelihood of its people. Control and power have become the name of the game. So, what did tired Americans do? They prayed and asked God to step in, and He did!
To understand what took place on Tuesday, read 1 Chronicles 5:18-22. Tribes of people waged war on enemy territory. They cried out to God during the battle and God answered them for they trusted in Him. The enemy was defeated for God fought the enemy for them. You can liken this to the election.
The United States has been divided for some time. The government that was established by our Founding Fathers along with a two-party system to keep one party from having too much control is being slowly removed. A new government is trying to emerge that has a different look than what America stands for. Unfortunately, the American people are paying a heavy price. Tuesday’s election revealed that the American people decided to wage war on the battle at hand by showing up to vote and praying to God for His help.
“Hi God. It’s nice to see you. Thank you for stepping in.”
Now, we have work to do. We must align ourselves back to what this country stands for. We must respond to God’s gracious and merciful hand and live morally. Blessing flow when we do. “IF you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all His commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings IF you obey the Lord your God: Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and our crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.” (Deuteronomy 28:1-6)
And while we are working at bettering ourselves, we must be kind, respectful, and loving to those around us who are struggling with the outcome. Our job is to lovingly help others see the big picture of God’s amazing way to live. His way causes peace, harmony, and order where lives are full and complete. Look at Colossians 2:8-10, “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”
Follow Jesus and watch how God will transform your life, your family’s life, and all of society.
Take the gift that has been given, and use it wisely and for the Lord. He will help us defeat the enemy that is relentless at bringing down any good that comes from God. Recognize the enemy’s tactics and turn the other way to a more glorious, peaceful, vibrant way to live.
