Ferocious Faith

Why Jesus came to earth as an infant is a big enough reason to have ferocious faith. A faith so intense that it affects every part of your life, right down to your soul. From studying God’s Word, you know that Jesus gave His all for every human being in every generation. He experienced what it was like to be human so He would have understanding of the hardships you face each day. Because of sin, life became hard, toilsome, unfair. But, because of God’s love for you, He sent His Son to become your Savior and Lord.

It is important to see the big picture. It helps keep your faith moving forward.

When you choose to repent of your sins and follow Jesus, God places you on a firm foundation where you have intimate fellowship with God through His Son and the Holy Spirit. In this quiet place, God essentially lives life through you. In this holy place, God needs you to be open and accepting of what He has for you. In this acceptance, faith which begins as a spark in your heart morphs into ferocious flames.

God is the igniter of your faith.

God is the sustainer of your faith.

Jesus is the fuel for your faith, and the Holy Spirit is the director of how your ferocious faith will be used.

Look at a few nuggets of truth that will aid in keeping your faith alive and well. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, and I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

From these verses, how can you allow God to live His life through you? You first need to recognize what is stopping you from allowing God to have full access with you. What are you believing that is not from Him? What are you holding onto with a tight grip? Do you see God in every area of your life? As Isaiah 40:31 says, will you wait on the Lord and allow Him to renew you?

When a child of God surrenders himself to Jesus, heaven’s doors open up and ferocious faith takes hold where God can move mightily within His people. There is nothing that can stop God from moving mountains in anyone’s life when His children live on fire for Him.

Ferocious faith equals abundant living.

In John 10:10 Jesus says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” Jesus came to give, and He gave generously. You are given abundant blessings when you allow Jesus to lead you home to heaven. In these abundant blessings, you are called to live ferociously for your Lord and Savior. You are called to give, to serve, to love, like He did.

In a few weeks Christmas will be celebrated. How can you live in such a way that others will see your ferocious faith? Be strong and courageous for the Lord will be with you; see Joshua 1:9, Deuteronomy 31:6, and James 4:7. God is moving, my friend, and He is calling lost sheep into His fold. He wants to use you to bring them home, where they, too, will develop ferocious faith.

Do you know God? Get to know Him better. Do you know Jesus? Get to know Him better? Do you know the Spirit? Get to know Him better. Until God takes you home, there is room for maturity and growth. There is always something God will want to teach you. Always walk and talk and love with a open, teachable spirit. That is how to abide with Jesus as you stand on the firm foundation ready to serve your Lord.
