We have a very generous God. To understand this fully, read the Bible. You will see countless times where God gives generously to His children, whether they deserve it or not. God’s generosity is encased in His love for His people. There is never a time where God does not desire the best for us.
One example in the Bible that exemplifies His giving heart is found in Romans 10:5-21. Life was very different for people in the Old Testament, the Israelites. They followed Moses and the Law. It was very tedious and grueling to follow. A lot of sacrifices had to be made to cover people’s sins. The way to follow God was to obey all the commands, and no one could.
So, God in His great mercy, love, and generosity, made a way for people to come to Him freely without reservation and experience uninterrupted favor. It is called faith. God made a way to bring sinners back into His fold. This time, holy, righteous and redeemed by His Son Jesus Christ.
Faith’s way to getting right with God is different than what the Israelites experienced. From Romans 10, you learn many wonderful truths that become the foundation to your life. His generosity gets passed down to you. God makes Himself very near. Paul speaks from Deuteronomy 30:14, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart so that you can obey it.”
Faith’s way is about honesty and confession. You must confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. Then, you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. If you confess and believe in what God did for you, then you will be saved. “For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”10
Faith’s way of trusting fully in Jesus Christ means God will never disgrace you for believing. God will never bring shame on you or discredit you for believing Him. The Trinity and all their angels will stand behind you, before you, and around you defending you. God protects those who desire to follow His Son.
The Lord gives generously to all who call on Him; see verse 12. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”13
Living by faith gives you purpose. You become a messenger who bring the Good News of Jesus to others. How beautiful are those who spread God’s love! Read Isaiah 52:7 for more encouragement. Because God gives every person the choice to follow by faith or not, not everyone will welcome God’s generosity. Despite this reality, God’s children share with whomever for one does not know how God is moving within people’s hearts. Everyone needs to hear about the uninterrupted generosity of God.

God has been moving throughout the earth since the beginning of time. His message is making its way to every corner of the earth; also see Psalm 19:4. God has undying love and great power for His creation. When He sent His Son to conquer death and sin, by means of a cross, He could not have displayed generosity more than through Jesus.
God is truly loving and giving. People will find God even when they weren’t looking for Him. He reveals His presence throughout each day. “All day long I opened my arms to them.”21 No one can stand before God and say they didn’t know. God’s uninterrupted generosity keeps that from happening.
As you are preparing for Easter, bask in God’s glory of what He did to save you. He goes all out in loving you. How can you return the favor? Learn of His ways and open your hands to what He is asking of you, then live like Christ.
