Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage (Galatians 51 NKJV).

Bondage is real my friends. Each one of us feels it and we desperately try to masquerade around it, until God steps in. It often takes a soul in bondage to become tired of their own feeble efforts and finally realize their need for God, then something amazing happens. God provides an incredible offer!

Look at Jesus’ offer: “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NLT)

Jesus is exactly what your soul needs. There is no other like Him nor what He is willing to offer you. When you take interest in His offer, God takes your from guilty in your sins to acquitted from them all because of Jesus’ resurrection. When you choose to see the reality of your bondage and desire it no more, God leads you to repentance and brokenness.

While this doesn’t sound appealing, especially if your bondage is pride and your own accomplishments, it is the only road that leads to eternal redemption. Jesus is the only one that can offer such an incredible deal. He became our champion of faith. Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT says, “So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin. So, let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There, we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” This is simply WOW!

As you and I seek the Lord and allow Him to change us from the inside out, our hearts become alive by His Spirit where we you freely say, “Lord, it is truly amazing how You teach me and lead me. There is no other like you! Your faithfulness is unmatched. Your love is beyond human comprehension. Your grace is endless. Your mercy is indescribable. How easy you make Yourself real and evident to every soul that grabs a hold of Your incredible offer.”

A soul that faces their own bondage and dares to respond to what has been right there in front of them their whole life is a soul that is truly free. Read the rest of Galatians 5 and allow God to teach you about the freedom that your soul is craving. It teaches you about the battle that lies within every believer’s heart and how to overcome the bondage from this sinful world.

God gives an example of how to live in freedom in the book of Deuteronomy. When a king is selected to lead a nation, God gives instructions that will ensure goodness will abound during his reign. Deuteronomy 17:18-20 says, “The king must keep a body of instruction (God’s Word) with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the Lord his God by obeying all the terms these instructions and decrees. This regular reading will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest ways.” God knows how strong the bondage is that we face each day. We need help! And help is available if we are willing to believe and respond to the Trinity.

Are you interested in all that God offers you or just a part of it? Many like a little bit of God. They are content believing in God. They see Jesus as the Savior of the world but not in their own hearts. They read the Bible for knowledge but don’t see the Spirit talking personally to them from its pages. They acknowledge God from a distance, never letting Him in. God’s offer is an all or nothing opportunity. He doesn’t give a little of Himself to you, He give you all of Himself! And He wants all of you.

If you have experienced all of Christ, you know what I am talking about. If not, I have good news, He is waiting for you to let Him show you who He is. You will be in total awe over His presence in your life. You will respond like Peter in John 6:66-69, “At this point many of His disciples turned away and deserted Him. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, ‘Are you also going to leave?’ Simon Peter replied, ‘Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. We believe and we know You are the Holy One of God.'”

May everyone know God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
