Peace For Christmas

God desires for you to live in peace. He made it possible when He sent His Son down to earth over 2,000 years ago. Right from conception, Jesus began changing hearts. Read how God began using Jesus in Luke 1:39-45.

“Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”41

This is the secret sauce to having deep peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you will have peace. Elizabeth was filled for she believed God. If God was sending her Savior through a young woman named Mary, so be it, she believed and received the most precious gift God could give man.

When you are in His peace, you will experience a spiritual rest that infiltrates all areas of your life. Look at the following quote from “Never Forgotten Always Loved,” by DaySpring, “To be at rest, God must have your heart. This means that He is at the very center of your being. It means for you to live is Christ. All that you have is yielded to Him. All that you are is trusting in Him. All that you ever hope to be is depending on Him. He wants you to trust Him for your family for He has a Father’s heart. He wants you to trust Him for your health for He is the great physician. He wants you to trust Him for your needs for He is your provider. He wants you to trust Him with your life for He is the guardian and keeper of your soul.”

His Peace transforms every part of your being.

Jesus came to save you. You are here to bear His name. You have a purpose, one with eternal value. To begin the transforming process away from sin, you must turn towards Christ and acknowledge that you need Him. When you confess your sins, you will find God to be faithful and just to forgive you; see 1 John 1:9, Psalm 32:5.

May this Christmas be a peaceful one for you. It will be when Christ is at the center of everything you do.
