The Inside Story

“I know who You are, the Holy One sent from God!” – Mark 1:24, Luke 4:34

“You are the Son of God!” – Mark 3:11, Luke 4:41

“I know Jesus.” – Acts 19:15

Throughout the pages of the Bible, you learn the inside story of the love that God has for His children. God makes it evident that He sent His Son to earth to become the Savior of the world. When you choose to follow Christ, you will go from spiritually dead to spiritually alive with God Himself residing within your heart.

You become a new person with new wants, desires, dreams and goals. You align yourself with God and His ways.

The three scriptures above are from souls who understand the inside story of God’s love. Look up these verses and see what is the common denominator with them. Does it surprise you?

Understanding this should instill a deep desire to know the truth, seeking to comprehend the inside story that began with God loving His creation. Knowing that sin will enter the picture, God never stopped loving His people. He made a way to redeem lost man back to Himself. In the truest form of love, God the Father sent His only Son to become like you and me. Jesus experienced day-to-day life which makes Him the most empathetic God. He understands your joys and sorrows. He took it a step farther and was willing to die for your sins and mine. He walked in obedience to His Father and became our precious Lamb.

“Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” – John 1:29

Why does it matter that demons, those from enemy territory, know the inside story of Christ? They fully understand who God is and what His Son accomplished by resurrecting from the dead. They know that their time is running short for one day Jesus will return to undo the consequences of sin that is rooted in evil. If they know the truth, why are they still in enemy territory?

They are refusing to do one thing. They ignore Luke 4:36. It says, “What authority and power this Man’s words possess!” They refuse to align themselves with God and His ways. They are unrepentant. They follow a little “g” god who still desires to be God. Even after Christ’s resurrection, Satan still struts his stuff in pride acting like he owns the place. They are unable to see and hear clearly.

This is why it is evident that you study God’s Word daily. As you constantly fuel your soul with truth, God puts the pieces of truth together into a beautiful picture. Think of a jigsaw puzzle, the picture doesn’t make sense when all the pieces are in a pile, but as you interlock each piece, soon the inside story becomes clearer and clearer. It is the same way with your faith.

You begin by understanding the Gospel. Read Romans 10:5-21, Isaiah 55:6-9, and Ephesians 2:8-9 for deeper insight. It is like the edge pieces that frame your life. As you abide in Christ daily, He helps you to sort out the different areas of your life. You find pieces that look like they would go together and you piece them together. The Holy Spirit and the Scriptures guide you as you interlock your life with His. Eventually, smaller sections of the puzzle fit into the bigger picture and you begin to see more clearly what God is teaching you.

I am going to leave you with the follow scripture. Be careful that you are not being misled to walk in enemy territory. The dark territory is decorated with all the glitz and glamor of the world. It promises a better inside story, but Jesus in His Word says otherwise. Jesus’ authority and power has the final say so it is imperative that you follow Him.

Which story are you choosing to follow?

From Revelations 12:10-12, “Then John heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, ‘It has come at last, salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth, the one who accuses them before our God day and night. And they have defeated Him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens! And you who live in the heavens, rejoice! But terror will come on the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, knowing that he has little time.'”

Note: United In Love is taking a break for a couple weeks. I will be enjoying family time with my husband and children. I will resume writing Tuesday, July 12. Until then, I will post on Instagram and Facebook to encourage you to continue deepening your faith.
